Conviction in Rajneeshee Plot

Two followers of the Indian mystic Rajneesh were convicted of a 1985 plot to assassinate Charles Turner, the U.S. attorney for the District of Oregon.

The Rajneesh movement is a new religious movement inspired by the Indian godman known as Rajneesh or Osho (1931–1990). They were formerly known as Rajneeshees, "neo-sanyassins" or "Orange People". Members of the movement are sometimes called Oshoites in the Indian press.
